Forwarding Manager Job in Geel 2440, Antwerp Belgium

Our client is a leading logistic service provider. They offer consulting services, software and network management for logistics and supply chain management for various industries and customers worldwide. They provide leading and non asset based supply chain services to their customers. The specific and innovative 4PL approach clearly distinguishes them from the competition. In order to successfully continue their growth, they are looking for a Forwarding Manager to be based near Antwerp.

As a Forwarding Managert you will be responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction in your area of responsibility by successfully balancing material availability and deviating customer needs. You will lead a team of experienced supply chain professionals, who plan and control the daily movements of goods out of different European consolidation points to our overseas customers. Your primary responsibilities in this position will include eg. ensuring highest customer satisfaction in your area of responsibility, being the contact to our overseas customers (with focus on China), monitoring and optimizing existing standards, best practice and procedures related to outbound logistics processes as a continuous improvement process, developing and monitoring relevant logistics KPIs and motivating, leading and developing a team of experienced supply chain professionals.

You hold preferably a degree in operations, business administration or logistics and you have at least 3 years of supply chain management, leadership experience, preferably in an automotive or logistics service industry. Alternatively you have an equivalent apprenticeship with focus on transport and at least some leadership experience in this field. You have excellent analytical as well as interpersonal and communicative skills. You are goal-oriented and always focused on the customer. You are experienced in team leadership and are able to motivate and lead your team. You are used to communicate well in a multinational multicultural environment and you are fluent in English. German and/or Mandarin is a strong plus.
