FPA Analyst

Ambition are recruiting for a global investment bank that is looking to hire an FPA Analyst on a permanent basis. The bank has continued to thrive throughout this period of economic turbulence, much of this is attributed to the calibre of staff they hire.

The company is looking for a FPA (Financial Planning and Analysis) Market Analyst to sit in their Treasury and Markets team; it is responsible for providing financial control, analysis and support for the Treasury and Market Services division.

The key responsibilities will include:

-Being the primary contact in UK for all Finance activities in relation to the Treasury and Market Services business lines.

-Controlling the production of commentary and analysis on all aspects of monthly Treasury and Market Services business results

-The continuing development and maintenance of effective controls and analytics in relation to the business' revenue lines.

-Liaising with all other areas of local and global Finance teams to ensure accurate reporting analysis of the business lines' monthly financial results.

-Taking lead role in the planning and forecasting process.

-Take lead role in Finance participation in Markets Treasury and Market Services related projects.

In order to be considered for the role, you will require:

-Accountancy qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or overseas equivalent)

-An ability to interpret financial information and recognise and explain the associated business implications, in essence management and financial reporting experience is essential

-Extensive Revenue Reporting experience is essential

-FX, Treasury, cash fixed income knowledge is beneficial working within financial services; candidates with a background in Treasury Product Control will be considered

-Strong Excel skills are essential, the use of Peoplesoft would be beneficial
