FP+A Analyst – Insurance recruitment

Key Accountabilities:

•Work within agreed decision-making standards, limitations and authorities, and comply with key regulatory and risk management responsibilities
•Lead a team of two

•Partner with the Senior Business leaders and serve as the primary liaison with respect to Finance.
•Build a high performance culture by ensuring the team have the required skills and knowledge to meet current and future business needs
•Deliver a team with the capabilities and ability to deliver significant value to our stakeholders through analysis of the business – RAP Reporting metrics
•Contribute work with the FPA Management Team to define management reporting strategies and procedures and implements action plans
•Aide the business in clearer definition, consistency and visibility of KPIs, creating dashboard views to support that.
•Work with other business areas to create consistent and meaningful MI strategy
•Improve process consistency and controls
•Implement risk adjusted view of the PL that supports capital decision making by business unit and meaningful assessment of the performance
•Advance and improve the currently available analytical views to develop better understanding of the portfolio: e.g. trend analyses, broker analysis, branch, industry and segmental analysis, sensitivity analysis etc.
•Produce/prepare management reports and KPIs as defined, together with appropriate commentaries and reports.

•Analysis of project/investment decisions against benchmark returns
•Implement Management Decision and Analytical reporting focused on the planned strategies
•Coordinate and prepare the UK Annual Budget
•Coordinate and prepare estimates/projections, quarterly/monthly actual reporting and analytics for the UK operation
•Document and automate standard reporting, for example through use of macros and access databases
•Work with offshore teams to develop UK reporting

•ACA / ACCA / CIMA Qualified (or overseas equivalent)
• Financial services industry experience preferred - General Insurance will be an advantage
•Strong Financial Modelling and Projections experience
•Intermediate to Advanced user of Excel / Access
•Strong people / team management skills
•Excellent written and spoken communication skills
