France / Benelux FIG Origination Associate / VP recruitment
They have a significant network in Europe with offices in London, and mainland Europe, through which they offer investment banking services focused on their clients’ needs, whether they be part of a multinational group, an institutional investor, SME or private client.
The role entails analysing target banks, identifying client needs and developing solutions using the whole Investment Corporate Banking product range. The position is highly project oriented, requires a high level of mental flexibility and involves some travel.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Strategic and Financial analysis of banks including the development of action alternatives to shape balance sheets, funding, etc.
- Proactive approach to the development of ideas to meet specific clients’ needs by taking the whole financial services’ product range of Corporate Markets into consideration
- Supporting Client Directors in marketing the Corporate Markets product range to clients
- Bank evaluation and financial modeling in selected situations
- Cooperating with product specialists and relationship managers
Key Requirements
- French Native or fluent
- Familiar with European banking markets, in particular, French and Belgian markets a strong advantage
- In-depth knowledge of evaluation methods and financial modeling
- Knowledge of banking regulatory issues, accounting issues and capital structure
- Experience of developing ideas and solutions for banking clients involving balance sheet, regulatory, accounting and capital management
- Experience in a related area i.e. Financial Institutions Advisory, Capital Management, Debt Capital Markets solutions, orthe Corporate Finance area of an accounting firm or consultancy
