POSITION SUMMARY:
Due to our rapid growth, our Franchise Operations team continues to grow, and we are now looking for a Franchise Service Director based in the Northeast U.S. This position serves as the Franchisee's first point of contact with the La Quinta and is responsible to deliver all Brand Services to support franchisees within their Regional Territory; assists franchisees during the opening process, by providing an orientation to the brand and assuring projects adhere to Brand Standards during construction and renovation; accountable for the performance numbers of each hotel operating within their territory; and acts as Operations Consultant to build successful relationships (retention), drive Quality RevPar increases for franchised properties.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Act as liaison Between Franchisees all La Quinta departments to resolve issues and concerns of franchisees and our company.
- Manage Property opening processes in the following areas:
+ Renovation progress – Assist franchisees during renovation phases to make sure the property is in compliance of the La Quinta standards and the renovations are completed within a designated time frame.
+ New Construction Phases – Assist franchisees during construction phases to make sure the property is in compliance of the La Quinta standards and construction is completed within a designated time frame.
+ Provide assistance in finding suppliers and contractors through our Design Construction Department.
+ Grand Opening – Provide property opening training, reservation system installation, sales lead follow-up and GM/Owner orientation completions.
- Assist franchisees in System utilization, such as DataPak completion, competitive pricing and positioning analysis, and local marketing programs.
- Conduct training at property level, as needed.
- Conduct onsite visits to franchisees a minimum of three times per year and provide assistance with Operations, Reservations, Local/Regional/National Marketing.
- Gain franchisee support and participation in system wide and regional sales and marketing programs.
- Demonstrate to franchisees how to maximize revenue, ensuring optimal RevPar growth for franchised properties.
- Inspect franchise property to ensure compliance with brand standards, cleanliness, and achievement of STAR tracker numbers.
- Arrange mentorship between franchisee and company owned properties, as needed.
- Assist Franchise Sales Director in designing sales/operations action plans for prospective franchisees.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
MINIMUM EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:
- Six or more years of hotel experience.
MINIMUM SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have an intermediate level knowledge software packages including Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel and Power Point).
- Ability to logically and independently plan, organize and complete work assignments.
- Must be able to simultaneously manage multiple objectives and priorities.
- Must possess excellent analytical, problem solving, critical thinking and decision-making skills.
- Must be able to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing with management, peers, client and customers.
- Must possess a high concern for the accuracy of information given including attention to the status and details of projects and assignments.
- Must possess a high degree of integrity and have ability to maintain confidentiality regarding investors and investment information.
PHYSICAL, MENTAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:
- Working conditions of the position are a normal office situation.
- May work alone or closely with others.
- Work is completed sitting at a desk or table with intermittently standing, bending, crouching and stooping.
- May be required to do moderate lifting or carrying.
- Capable of working in a fast paced environment and in stressful situations.
- Must respond to multiple task interruptions and still provide service to internal and external customers in a professional and courteous manner.
- Requires overnight travel 50% of the time.
- May be required to walk and/or stand for long periods of time.
- May be required to drive and/or operate heavy equipment.
- Requires good hearing.
- Requires good near or distant vision.
