Description
- Monitor fraud trends and schemes directed toward commercial clients throughout the industry.
- Strong knowledge of emerging channels such as online, digital mobile, with experience in sophisticated methods of authenticating online activity.
- Ability to identify risks proactively and build additional sets of policies/procedures for commercial fraud detection and prevention. Will work with Global teams on any Global standards affecting commercial fraud.
- Ability to optimize business needs relating to minimizing fraud losses, maximizing the customer experience / overall divisional profitability, and ensuring a solid control environment including driving implementation of best in class technology solutions
- Regular interaction with, GTS, the wire room and other constituencies to ensure that we are proactive in avoiding fraud losses and building adequate controls. Develop collaborative relationships with other managers within Commercial Business teams, OT, Compliance and Corporate Risk/Finance staff.
- Heavy interaction with various business functional leaders, and corporate/sector staff in Risk Finance, bank executives, business peers, Global Risk executives audit.
- Influence the thought of key audit regulatory contacts
- Partner with Global Citi businesses to share best practices; Partner with Global Risk oversight teams

- Bachelor's degree required.
- 10+ years experience in managing commercial transaction risk, especially fraud of any type that relates to treasury services ( including ACH debit and credit fraud), fraud involving wire transfers, fraud involving trade LC's and BA's. In depth knowledge of wire and ACH processes and systems are essential
- Strategic, critical thinker who can act as a risk manager within a business environment
- Strong knowledge of industry Fraud trends, issues and detection techniques
- Knowledge of regulatory environment that affect the business
- This position has no direct reports and therefore the ability to infer key business trends from a vast array of data and present in succinct, influential fashion to a wide audience of business constituents and help set priorities and drive change.
- Quick learner of new technologies and business functions with strong process and project management skills.
- Former Secret Service or FBI or similar commercial electronic fraud background is a plus.
- Ability to display appropriate leadership stature and represent the role at the senior business executive level.
- Ability to create support and buy-in across a wide range of stakeholders; create a strong network of relationships among peers, internal partners, external constituencies, decision makers and stakeholders
- Ability to communicate with both highly technical and non-technical individuals to drive understanding and inspire creativity.
- Ability to interact with senior-level regulators and anticipate new areas of regulatory and audit scrutiny
- Ability to anticipate emerging fraud and portfolio trends
- Continuously monitoring and anticipating the competitive landscape
- Strong communication, presentation and influencing skills
