French speaking Account Manager – London recruitment

We are currently recruiting a French speaking Account Manager to cover part of the Western European territory. The individual will be responsible for selling all Platts products and services to the energy commodity and financial markets. This includes direct selling efforts via telephone as well as working with an outside sales professional to maximize their assigned territories revenue growth.
The Account Manager is responsible for growing existing business while maintaining a strong and trusting business partnership with these clients. The Account Manager must strategize and develop new opportunities within the region. The Account Manager must identify a customer's business needs through consultative selling and provide a clear solution by utilizing the portfolio of Platts products (newsletters, real-time services and data). Ensure customer satisfaction, manage renewals and mitigate risk. The majority of the business development activities will be conducted over the phone.
Some activities will include: development/execution of proactive campaigns, maintaining and managing a customer base, closing sales and appropriate follow-up activities. Platts customers include utilities, consulting firms, financial institutions, and energy companies. The Account Manager must make sure a high level of service is delivered on a daily basis.
Key responsibilities:
- Responsible for lead qualification, needs assessments, product presentations and closing sales for new services in Platts newsletters/newswires, dispatch, real time, custom / historical data, geospatial and UDI products and services.
- Responsible for renewal of existing accounts by minimizing cancellation risk through existing multi touch retention program and documenting activities in the CRM system
- Develop account penetration strategies through analysis of market news, company reports, etc., evaluate feedback/trends and prepare report
- Maintain account intelligence and document all activities in CRM
- Process renewal and new contracts via Contract Workflow within CRM
Skills
- Fluency in English and French - critical for this position.
- Proven and consistent B2B sales experience.
- Experience selling high value information or software products an advantage.
- Strong account management skills and CRM skills.
- Superior cold-calling skills.
- The ability to sell to all levels of a company as well as the ability to learn quickly.
- Excellent presentation skills via the phone and follow up skills.
- Strong communication and negotiating skills will be required for oral and written communications with customers and prospects.
