My client is a leading distribution company with turnover in excess of £5 billion. Due to recent growth and restructuring within the organisation, my client is looking to recruit a French Speaking Accounts Payable Manager to oversee a team of 3, to report directly to the Regional Accounts Payable Manager. You will be working in a fantastic European Finance Shared Service Centre, with fantastic colleagues in an excellent vibrant atmosphere. It is essential that you will speak French for this role, as you will be overseeing the French team, and liaising with colleagues and customers in France.

Key responsibilities of the role:

The successful candidate will be an Accounts Payable expert and will be responsible for the French domain. As well as managing a team of 3, you will be responsible for any queries, and ensuring all the accounts payable function is compliant and complies with both internal and external audit requirements. The Accounts Payable Manager will also report to the Regional Accounts Payable Manager and will be responsible for reporting management information and processing accounts payable month end. The Accounts Payable Manager will also be responsible for reporting performance evaluation information of their team, as well as setting promotion targets. The French team will be responsible for processing over 45,000 invoices per year, with the Finance Shared Service Centre processing over 250,000 invoices

Essential requirements:

- Fluent in French – Any applicants who are not fluent will not be responded to
- Accounts Payable experience, 3-5 years, management experience desirable, however my client will look at strong Accounts Payable Clerks looking for a step up in their career
- Experience managing and working within a high volume invoice processing environment
- Experience with SAP would be highly advantageous, and the successful candidate must be proficient on Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio)
- Accounting knowledge would also be advantageous
