French Speaking Financial Accountant

They serve more than 25,000 customers in more than 50 countries, including the world’s 50 largest financial services companies. This role sits within their European, Middle Easter and African Shared Services function to provide accounting and financial support to the business across Europe. From its centre in London, EMEA is growing significantly.
The company is located in central London in superb offices. There is a dynamic vibrant and professional working culture and the ability to be involved in a large range of interesting tasks. The role initially is being offered until April / May next year but this could be extended.
Job Purpose:
This Job role is responsible for ensuring that the business units and legal entities are compliant with internal and external reporting requirements in a timely and accurate manner.
Job Role:
· Preparation of statutory accounts for two French entities.
· Will require French GAAP knowledge and be able to produce a set of French Financial Statements with relevant French account mappings.
· Preparation of disposal accounts under French GAAP.
· Travel to France may be required.
· Preparation of French tax returns.
· Preparation of Year End Tax Packs required for US reporting
· Completion of 5471 Forms required for US reporting
· Assist other sectors outside the EMEA SSC with technical issues
· Liaise with external auditors, internal auditors and CFO’s of business units on financial and tax issues.
· Complete a detailed monthly review of financial information for ledgers prepared by the operations department covering European entities.
· Assist with any SOX compliance and testing.
· Transfer Pricing – assist the Transfer Pricing Team with any queries/projects
· Statutory Adjustments – To ensure SUN systems agree to local Statutory Accounts. In addition perform Retained Earnings reconciliations on SUN.
· Undertake other ad hoc duties as required.
Job Requirement:
Qualified Accountant, with a minimum of 1 years post qualified experience + French GAAP accounting experience.
Fluent French English
Experienced with financial reporting/stats/tax
Experience of “dynamic” environment
Industry knowledge/awareness
