Front Office Application Support – Hedge fund
This team deals with mission critical trading technology and manage the production of bespoke equity trading applications.
The role will involve providing 2nd/3rd line mission critical support and liaising regularly with sales and traders, therefore both a strong business and technical knowledge is required.
As you will be working closely with the end user it is essential to have excellent communication skills.
Main responsibilities:
- Provide 2nd/3rd line support
- Troubleshooting order management, position keeping, PnL Booking issues
- Constant development of cash equities and other relevant knowledge
- Regular interaction with internal sales and traders regarding process improvements
- Communication and provide functional specifications to the development team
Essential skills:
- Equity markets technology experience within front-office
- Previous experience working with sales/traders
- Knowledge of order management systems
- Technical understanding of Linux/Unix based infrastructure
- Scripting experience (Perl/Shell, SQL, Java)
