Main FunctionThis is a desk facing Singapore-based Senior Support Analyst role, The main function will be to provide IT application support for the Credit Trading businesses across APAC. Will have responsibility for Incident Management, Problem Management, Communications, and building relationships with both business and technology clients.
Main Duties
- 1st 2nd line support for all FO client facing Credit Trading Applications
- Operate as part of the team shift rota that provides support coverage through 07:00-19:00 (local)
- Perform deep analysis of support requests and issues to identify the most efficient solutions.
- Interface with development teams for problems that require permanent fix and provide suggestions / solutions, where feasible
- Provide immediate workarounds for all outstanding issues
- Handle escalations promptly and efficiently
- Build and manage client user relationships, particularly with the AP Credit Traders in Singapore, Tokyo and Hong Kong
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the credit business, products and market events
- Work with global business IT projects teams to ensure seamless support for the business
- Champion problem management - interface with development teams for problems that require permanent fix and provide suggestions / solutions, where feasible
- Actively identify efficiency improvement opportunities and work on service improvement plans
- Take on "System Specialist" responsibility for a suite of trading applications, and become a knowledge reference point for the support team, development team and project teams. Build up systems knowledge, technical knowledge, and business knowledge, through self assessment, self training materials, and liaising with key development contacts to obtain a deep understanding of the systems and business.
- Adhere to the established processes around ITIL and Credit RTB Strategy
- Execute / Participate in the Incident, Problem, Capacity, Availability, Environment, Change and Configuration management activities
Person Requirements
- Proven experience supporting FO applications in a global investment banking environment
- Credit or Rates domain experience
- Experience with ITIL concepts and best practices
Skills / Aptitude Required:
- Strong spoken written communication skills
- Ability to understand the business context and respond to users is more important over the in-depth technology skills
- Ability to work under pressure and continue to support users and applications
- Process oriented and able to follow through on all issues raised by clients in a timely manner
- Excellent client facing skills with a proven track record of building relationships with business and technology stakeholders at all levels.
- Understanding of the investment banking business, Credit product knowledge, and the lifecycle of trade is advantageous
- Strong basic technical skills with demonstrated ability to learn will be required in order to identify the trouble spots and suggest potential fixes
