Front Office BA, FICC
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an established Business Analyst to join a Front Office, FICC driven financial markets team

Duties responsibilities
- Ability to analyse, document and configure technical change within core trading platforms - primarily Calypso but experience of Wall Street, Murex and other associated platforms are also important
- Process/system analysis -you define and help implement the solution in line with business requirements and operating model principles.
- Work with the Business to deliver quality change in a timely and cost efficient manner.
- Stakeholder management - being the link between Business (FICC) and Technology to clearly communicate requirements, solutions and timelines.
- Demonstrate strong technical and financial markets analysis.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key internal stakeholders.
- Responsible for building the trading system knowledge base through;
- Researching and understanding current market trends across FICC
- Development of own business knowledge.
- Preparation of test cases and test scenarios. Execution of testing and validation of regression testing where required.
- Ensuring issues are identified, tracked, reported on and resolved in a timely fashion.
Prerequisites
- Strong derivatives knowledge experience. Interest rate derivatives, Credit derivatives, Government bonds FX derivatives
- Calypso/Wall Street/Murex or other associated platforms experience is of interest
- Experience with change management, experience of implementing trading systems
- Good finance skills (Accounting entries, hedge accounting P+L explanation)
- Seasoned practitioner with experience and knowledge of the FICC business and technical dynamics and challenges of Global financial markets, particularly Australian financial markets
- Understanding of process methodologies with project and systems development lifecycle experience.
- Ability to implement business requirements into core trading systems / platforms
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- A genuine, proactive self-starter, someone who drive projects and shows initiative
- Hands on BA experience, sitting down with traders, understanding implementing business requirements
Compensation
$130,000 - $170,000 plus Superannuation, plus a per annum bonus. A wide range of salary is given depending on the depth quality of experience.
