My client, a Large Global Bank that have excelled substantially over the past few years are seeking an extremely exception C#/GUI developer with Front Office Exposure to join a Front Office Equity Derivatives Team. This is an exciting position for a Front Office C#/GUI Developer with exposure to assets/products such as Commodities, FX or Equities to make a key contribution to a Front Office team within a well known Global Bank. To correlate with their continued growth and success my client is looking for an experienced C#/GUI developer who has extensive knowledge in C#/GUI programming. The ideal candidate needs to be an extremely strong technologist with the ability to work within an a dynamic Front Office Team liaising with the Traders and Quant’s on a day-to day basis therefore communication is paramount to this position.
You will join a small and focused team of developers/quants, working on the front office trading desk and taking responsibility for designing cutting edge engines that provide data. The candidate will interface heavily with the core analytics libraries and be responsible for designing new front office applications for derivatives pricing and risk.
You will work closely with traders therefore you must have very strong product knowledge and experience working with large datasets. The team in Singapore is still small, therefore there is an opportunity to take a wide scope in your role and gain great exposure to research/trading/strategy. There is little to no division between ‘technology’ and ‘business’ and developers are compensated in a similar fashion to traders. Interaction with traders and sales in an investment banking environment is really important for this role therefore the ideal candidate must have front office exposure and excellent communication skills.
Skills required for Front Office C#/GUI Equity Derivatives Developer, Singapore:
• Experienced GUI developer with C#, .NET, and preferably WPF
• Good knowledge of design patterns (MVVM, reflection, etc.)
• Ability to solve problems in a practical, pragmatic way.
• Work experience with agile methodologies is a plus
• Experience in front office (work experience with traders sales is a must)
• Good knowledge of at least one asset class among FX, Rates, Commodities:
• Vanilla and basic structured products, including pricing and deal lifecycle
• Knowledge of the relevant market data (including a solid understanding of the volatility smile)
• Notions of risk management (from the trader’s perspective: PL explain / predict, risk matrices, etc.)
• Knowledge of some exotic products is a plus
Responsibilities for Front Office C#/GUI Equity Derivatives Developer, Singapore:
• C++ GUI and quoting engine for market-making ETFs, warrants and futures
• Improving and implementing trading strategies
• Developing new and existing programs
• Interfacing within a team of FRONT OFFICE quants/traders and managing certain projects
• Analyze trading requirements for existing market activity
