They provide a comprehensive range of financial services: personal financial services; commercial banking; corporate, investment banking and markets; private banking; and other activities.
The Role
Is to provide techno-functional support to Currency Option Trading/Sales and Structuring team in the Asia Pacific region by building and maintain a strong working relationship across the whole Currency Options business. You will ensure detailed regional business requirements are captured and disseminated across the global team. Continuously seek opportunities to improve the service offered to the Currency Options business and maintain a broad awareness of technology initiatives across GBM and their relevance to currency options technology.
Your Profile
The idea candidate will be able to:
Business Experience
- Understand and experience working within a tier one investment bank or equivalent environment
- Exposure to a high pressure front office environment
- Detailed understanding of the trading desk operations including the products they trade, pricing, risk and valuation is a must
- Should be able to interact effectively with traders
- Understanding of mathematics and Statistics relating to options pricing and risk mgmt is highly desirable
- Awareness of the complete Currency Options workflow (from risk to ledger) would be plus
Technology Experience
- Strong fundamental technical skills including areas such as object orientation, Unix, Windows, Citrix, Oracle
- Demonstrable understanding of OO design and implementation
- Background in C++ or Java development experience desirable
- Experience of full life-cycle, from initial concept right through to live deployment and support
