Front Office Delivery Manager – Commodity Trading – London – £85,000 – £95,000 + bens + bonus recruitment

The Delivery Manager is responsible for managing  Front Office delivery and performance agenda for all of Gas trading. To this end, the role performs five broad functions:
• Direct portfolio management – maintains an accurate, up-to-date view of all Gas Front Office projects, managing dependencies, conflicts and constraints within the Gas portfolio and as part of the broader Front Office portfolio.
• Front Office delivery – Responsible for SCRUM Front Office projects in Gas including direction and oversight of the Spreadsheet and Reporting team.
• ‘Face to the Gas business’ – shapes and maintains effective working interfaces between IT and the business, supporting the Gas IT Manager.
• Strategic leadership – sets the direction of IT investment for the Front Office business, ensuring the overall investment profile is consistent with business and IT strategy.
• IT delivery stream support – assists the Delivery Managers and the Technical Manager in resolving high-level project issues, as well as supporting the initiation of new projects.

Required experience:

Proven experience as a Portfolio, Programme or IT Delivery Manager managing a multi-function budget $10m and interpreting other performance data.
• Proven experience managing individual software development project/release deliveries and knowledge of the full delivery lifecycle. Must have experience leading SCRUM teams.
• Demonstrated experience of managing a team of 12+
• Project Management certification (Prince II or PMI) is essential.
• Comfortable with negotiating priorities with competing parties on the basis of business need.
