Front Office Equity Derivative Business Analyst recruitment

Leading global Asset Management firm is recruiting an experienced Equity Derivatives Business Analyst to work at the company's London office.

Role:

The role of Business Analyst is viewed as critical to the ongoing success of the company's technology transformation. The business have embarked on a technology transformation and for Equity Research this begins with the implementation of a new cross-asset class research management system.

The Business Analyst is a key role which provides necessary focus on the Equity business; you will be viewed as subject matter experts, therefore the perfect mix of asset class knowledge and technology expertise is required.

The role includes requirements gathering, understanding and documenting business processes in addition to systems and QA testing, working with other teams within UK Systems to deploy locally developed technology alongside customisations to a major off-the-shelf implementation.

The successful candidate will have experience of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) with particular exposure within Equity Derivatives.

Key accountabilities:

- Establishing and maintaining good working relationships with the business users and acting as a point of contact on Equity system related issues
- Requirements gathering and analysis
- Providing technical input into development projects to the point of design
- Producing, checking and assessing project documentation
- Managing projects relating to the different development teams in the UK the migration from the US platforms, with regard to both business and technical requirements

Skills and experience:

The successful candidate would be expected to have strong business analysis skills with a proven record of project participation and delivery ideally gained within an investment management business. The ability to understand technical design and assess approach to rectify any issues encountered is also important.

Essential skills

- Experience within an Investment Management business essential (Buy-side or Sell-side)
- Strong business analysis skills, including Excel and data analysis, with a proven record of project implementation
- Ability to understand technical issues and suggest appropriate solutions
- Working knowledge of software development life cycle processes
- Ability to work to tight deadlines and multitask
