Front Office IT Solution Architect

Job Description - Our client is seeking an innovative Solution Architect with strong low latency systems experience for their Front Office IT team based in Chicago, IL. Domestic relocation is offered.
In this role the Solution Architect will be responsible for the definition of IT solutions and accountability across high profile internal projects as they shape and put together a 5-year strategy and roadmap. In turn they will oversee this roadmap and work with the business and IT teams to deliver this accordingly.
Other responsibilities will include providing architectural subject matter expertise to optimize business processes, work with Front Office and Finance architecture teams to ensure a consistent approach to architecture as well as owning the functional, technical and data architecture for the Americas region.
Candidate Requirements - For this role you will be expected to have in-depth IT experience as an architect ideally within a trading environment or investment banking infrastructure. You should have a proven track record of Service Orientated Architecture (SOA) and knowledge of integration technologies like TIBCO and MQ Series. Technical skills must be up to date across Java, .NET, Oracle, MS SQL, SOA, Webserver, Application Integration, ETL, JMS and ESB.
You must be able to build strong business relationships, inspire colleagues, think outside the box and present ideas well graphically and verbally.
Finally you must have experience with Front Office Architecture models and/or methods, knowledge and experience in Dodd-Frank Regulatroy Regulations and knowledge of transaction processing and ideally physical supply and trading or physical settlement processing.
You will be expected to take and pass the TOGAF 9 certification and have knowledge of Agile/Scrum/XP techniques.
