Front Office Operations Business Manager (Equities) recruitment

Opportunity

Working closely with the CEO and the Head of Front Office Operations, be responsible for the delivery of specific initiatives impacting MAGIM Equities including Retail projects, regulatory change and one off items driven by Fund Manager needs / market changes.

Key responsibilities

Management of the change agenda between Retail and MAGIM

- Work closely with the Fund Managers and Business Management Team to ensure appropriate prioritisation.
- Ensuring MAGIM representation on Retail projects from product inception through to operational delivery.
- Board representation on relevant projects.
- Represent Equities on Change Management forums with Retail.
- Facing off to the Commerical Director, Product Development and the Fund Managers, ensure that the RD phase of new products or product changes is robust, properly managed and communicated and the correct individuals are engaged.

Special Project Delivery

- Deliver projects where these may not naturally fit within the existing teams
- Assist the existing teams in delivering projects where these may be difficult to prioritise due to business as usual workloads.
- Pick up one off assignments for the CEO, Fund Managers and Front Office Operations. An example of this might be representing Equities in relation to the current workshops on the future of the Euro.

Regulatory Change Delivery

- Facing off to MAGIM / Retail Compliance, ensure that all regulatory change is assessed for impact to Equities and any resulting projects are sponsored and delivered.
- On behalf of the line functions, take responsibility for delivery of major items coming from audits, compliance thematic reviews or regulatory visits connecting with the change function where appropriate.

What we are looking for

- Knowledge of asset management with particular focus on a retail business.
- Ability to drive through change with limited oversight.
- Ability to make sensible priority calls, engaging with management where necessary
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders up to Board level.
- Superb organisational skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and deliverables.
- Able to work effectively under pressure and to tight deadlines.
