Front Office Support Analyst recruitment
Market Operations and Technology (MOT) provides technology and market operations to Macquarie's businesses.
The Technology Division is responsible for the management of Macquarie's technology infrastructure, the support and development of existing business systems and the delivery and deployment of new systems, technologies and services. It comprises business aligned teams which provide dedicated and specialist services to businesses as well as central teams which provide shared services, such as infrastructure, to multiple businesses.
Macquarie Funds Group is one of Australia's largest funds managers and has a full range of domestic and international products. The Group has a wide range of innovative products including private equity, true indexing, enhanced equity, global bond, equities and currency hedge funds. The business has a reputation for industry leading product development and thought leadership.
The Macquarie Funds Group has implemented the Charles River Investment Management system for Equities trading and portfolio management. The ITG team are currently implementing thinkFolio for our fixed income business. This role is positioned in the Global Operations Front Office Team, supporting Charles River thinkFolio, their interfaces and a number of other trading applications.
Your key responsibilities will be:
- To provide application support to existing in-house systems and 3rd party applications
- Implement small enhancements
- Prioritise tasks and manage own time
- Escalate issues appropriately
- Lead and contribute to team processes and goals
To be successful in this role, you will have the following:
- Experience in the finance industry, preferably with trading/portfolio management systems
- Strong client service focus with expertise in customer-facing technology roles
- Ability to deliver timely and accurate solutions and experience with support of mission critical systems in a high pressure environment
- Experience in Oracle or Sybase SQL
- Experience with Control-M or other batch scheduling tools
- The ability to investigate issues independently and propose solutions
- Well developed communication skills
Ideally, you will have:
- Experience with Charles River Investment Management System or other front office OMS/EMS
- Experience supporting thinkFolio or other fixed income portfolio modelling/OMS applications
- Experience in supporting Funds Management applications
- UNIX, Webmethods, Windows scripting skills
- Exposure to .NET and/or Java.
It is expected that you can quickly establish requirements and work with the business to deliver the most appropriate outcome. A structured and consistent approach to problem solving and application support is essential.
