Front-to-Back C# .Net Developer / C# .Net Technologist – Leading Global Proprietary Trading Firm
Montash Associates have been engaged by a Leading Global Prop Trading House, to assist in the attraction and acquisition of a strong C# developer / C# specialist to join a Front Office team that is integral to the firm. The successful candidate will take on the role of a C# Developer working directly with the traders and will be involved in the build of cutting edge trading platform development and system enhancements, across both server-side systems and graphical systems.

Key Responsibilities:
- Actively seeking and clarifying product requirements with end users and other stakeholders.
- Meeting and exceeding end users expectations in terms of functionality, quality and performance.
- Designing and delivering code with automated testing performance always in front of mind.
- Ensuring all software created is of the highest levels of quality, achieves high standards with respect to performance, documentation, testability, robustness and that code review processes etc are followed.
- Providing feedback on above standards, and suggesting alternatives and refinements.
- The chosen solution does not limit future development.
- Actively engaging as a Team Member in the Scrum development process.
- Projects are carried out in full collaboration with colleagues across the business.
The ideal candidate will be considered a potential future leader and will be a passionate hands-on C# developer and OO technologist. The following technical skills are required:
- Exceptional C# skills: .NET 3.5/4, asynchronous programming, Linq
- Strong Object Oriented design skills
- Multithreaded C# development
- Experience in developing with WinForms/Other modern GUI Languages
- Understanding and experience in performance-critical GUI development
- MS SQL Server 2008 (desirable)

- Prior financial markets experience is very preferable

- Capable of working in a fast paced, dynamic environment

- Strong understanding of the commercial nature of the business
- Strong team-oriented attitude with natural inclination to share and collaborate
As important as the technical skills, are the interpersonal skills of this individual. The firm are looking for someone who will proactively go to the traders with solutions to issues and ideas for enhancements, rather than waiting for issues and then being pushed into solving them:

This candidate will preferably come from a Prop House, Hedge Fund or Investment Banking background, however, very strong C# technologists from outside of finance will be considered if they demonstrate a strong desire to learn this industry.
This is a key hire for the fund, and as such the remuneration will be excellent; a combination of competitive base plus very good biannual bonus capable of exceeding £200k show that only the very best candidates will be considered.
