Their growing FS Governance, Compliance and Risk practice is seeking ambitious Risk specialists with varying levels of experience to help build on the leading edge services which it currently provides to its clients.
You will be working with globally renowned Financial Services institutions to deliver full business solutions. My client has sustained growth plans for the future and this is an excellent opportunity to be a part of this leading institution.
As part of this highly skilled and ambitious team, you will advise leading banks, insurers and investment companies in the development and implementation of policies, procedures and systems of risk management. You will be involved from concept to implementation of state-of-the-art methodologies, processes and systems within the arena of risk management - enabling you to build breadth as well as depth of experience.
As a Risk Management Consultant within the FS Consulting practice you will get exposure to variety of projects of varying size and duration including:
- Current state assessment and diagnostic of FTB market and credit risk management processes including the relationships between the Risk function and Front Office, Finance, Operations and Treasury
- Operating model and organisational design of market and credit risk functions
- Functional architecture design
- Performance improvement of market and credit risk operations
- Implementation of regulatory change programmes
- Market and credit risk technology implementations
- Assessment of regulatory changes on market and credit risk management strategy and the overall impact on the client's business model
The successful candidate will typically possess the following skill set:
- Successfully completed a university degree, ideally with a focus on 'Banks', banking apprenticeship would be advantageous
- A good understanding of traded market and credit risk exposure measurement (VaR, PFE, EPE, CVA)
- Good financial product and valuation knowledge
- Knowledge and experience of market and credit risk management operations and processes
- Working knowledge of existing and emerging regulation (Basel 2, Basel 2.5, Basel III) and how the requirements are implemented from a process, methodology and technology perspective
- Understanding of technology with a preference for working knowledge of risk technology applications
- Prior consulting experience or change management experience if coming directly from industry
- Strong project management experience for senior grade candidates
- Strong communication skills
- Well proven analytical and conceptual skills.
