FS Risk Advisory Director / Partner
My client is regarded as one of the most progressive and entrepreneurial top 10 professional services firm in theUK. They are seeking a candidate to join at a senior level to help spearhead their business development and risk consulting within Financial Services Risk.
This new post will meet likely near future client chargeable needs, enable BD to be ramped up and enable the Risk Advisory FS practice leader/National FS sector leader to focus more on developing the FS market proposition and business plan - working with other service lines to unlock the potential in existing client relationships.
This role requires the services of a strong candidate who has a risk or audit background from either financial services or a top 10 professional services firm. Someone who has excellent business development skills and a large network of people they can bring with them in to this new role.
Areas of interest to my client includes people who have experience with regulatory change and compliance, such as recovery and resolution, Dodd Frank, MiFID, S166 reviews, experience with submissions to the FCA/PRA, ICAAP, ILA, etc.
Responsibilities:
- Deputise for the Risk Advisory FS practice leader/FS sector leader.
- Use own network to identify and target potential FS clients.
- Develop client proposals - working with colleagues from all Service Lines as appropriate.
- Advise FS companies on Governance, Risk Management and Controls.
- Lead Internal Audit reviews of FS companies.
- Maintain client pipeline, engagements letters and billing data, raise invoices.
- Set up/maintain associate and sub-contractor relationships.
Requirements:
Have demonstrable experience of opportunity identification and securing work in their own right - as well as being able to support the practice in managing client engagements and deliver advisory/IA work - with a sector focus, banking, insurance, capital markets or asset managers
Able to:
- Build on and develop network
- Actively pursue sales opportunities
- Present at relevant sector forum
- Manage client relationships
- Be a backstop/deputise for the practice leader when required
- Background from the FS or Regulatory Change practice of a big4 or recognised PS firm with their own client network
- Needs to be organised and proactive, have strong project management skills, a team player, able to manage several complex engagements at once.
- Diplomatic and culturally sensitive when dealing with clients, network firms and overseas clients.
- Accounting qualification - or IA qualification as a minimum.
