Fuel Cell Systems Research Engineer Job in Dearborn 48236, Michigan US
Position Duties:
The primary responsibility of this position within Fuel Cell Research Department is to provide Electrical Engineering skills to the Development, Analysis, and Testing Methods for Fuel Cell Systems and Subsystems.
· Optimize the design, build, and modifications for fuel cell system, subsystem, and component test stands.
· Conduct required analytical analysis and testing on fuel cell subsystem components.
· Design component and system level testing methods for the characterization of fuel cell components.
· Collaborate with the Fuel Cell Stack and Fuel Cell System Research teams on product design projects.
· Utilize Lab View to develop and maintain all of the verification test stands controls programming to meet the needs of the Fuel Cell Research team's requirements.
· Develop and manage key Fuel Cell System design documents including electrical and mechanical build schematics, standard operating procedures, testing project management, etc.
Minimum Requirements:
· BSEE
· Experience with the application of DFSS, FMEA, and Systems Engineering principles.
· Experience with Lab View programming for systems controls.
· Six Sigma Green Belt training and verification.
Preferred Requirements:
· MSEE
· 3 yrs. experience with test stand electrical design and data acquisition
· Experience with electric, hybrid electric, or fuel cell vehicles
· 3 yrs. experience in Electric Powertrain and/or Fuel Cell System design/development
