Full Time Instructor, Computer-Integrated Machining Technology Job in Winston Salem 27103, North Carolina US

Job Summary:

 

This instructor will teach a broad range of courses in machining technology such as: manual milling machine, manual lathe, CNC Milling, CNC Lathe, surface grinding, drill press, bench work, blueprint reading, precision measuring tools, engineering materials, metallurgy. Additionally, the instructor will prepare course outlines and objectives, evaluate course offerings, develop new courses, acquire skills and experience in using the newest instructional technologies, teach courses via distance education technology, advise students, and serve on college committees as required; other duties may be assigned. Schedule may consist of day or evening classes.

Qualifications:

 

Minimum Requirements:

  1. Associate’s degree in Machining Technology or Mechanical Engineering Technology, or closely related field. **Note:  Degrees and hours must be from a college accredited by a US Dept of Education accepted accrediting agency such as SACS. **

  2. Four years’ experience in the machining field, including a CNC background using and programming Siemens, Fanuc, and Haas controls.

 Preferred:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Machining Technology or related field.

  2. Two years post-secondary teaching experience.

  3. Experience in CNC programming using PRO Milling, NX, Master CAM, and or any suitable CAM package.

  4. Have an understanding of NIMS skill standards.

  5. Have an understanding of AutoCAD.

  6. Understand and be committed to the unique nature and role of the College.

 

 

Length of Employment: 

12–Month basis

Salary:

The salary for this position will be commensurate with experience and academic credentials.
