Functional Calypso Business Analyst
- Responsible for working with business user on their requirements and shall serves as point of contact between users and IT team
- Strong understanding of current workflow requirements of the department/ projects as well as to review existing procedures and provide recommendations and leverage on new technology to improve work processes
- Define complex business process model into simplicity, assisting team on a regional to global level
- Analyse feasibility and prioritising business requirements and evaluating alternative high level-IT solutions;
- Monitor project status and support project manager by providing solutions such as necessary configurations to rectify identitfied gaps
- Assist Project Manager with the development/maintenance of the project plan and ensure that all project deliverables are met
- Develop and execute test plans that will ensure business requirements have been met
- Maintain issues and risks lists. Ensure all actions and agreements from design meetings are collected and tracked
Requirements
- Minimum 3+ years working in systems or business analysis and system design within the capital markets industry
- Experience writing functional and business specifications with the ability to map conceptual financial and business elements to practical system capabilities
- Good understanding of Back Office processes, settlements (SWIFT, ACH, FedWire), documentation (confirmation, advices, reset advices, etc.) and accounting (general ledger, PnL accounting, etc.)
- Experience in the implementation and support of Back office system
- Strong knowledge and functional experience in any of the following asset classes which includes: Foreign Exchange and Money Market, Fixed Income, Interest Rate Derivatives, FX Derivatives, Credit Derivatives, Equity Derivatives
- Good stakeholder management and ability to work within a team environment
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong and demonstrable problem solving/analytical skills
