Functional Support Analyst (Oracle HR & Payroll)

Hays Accountancy Finance are recruiting on behalf of a well know business in Swindon.

Our client provides specialist support and key administrative services to Government Agencies and Public Sector bodies across the UK. Their IT and IS division now has requirement for a Functional Support Analyst to support and deliver quality Oracle HR systems support services to the HR and Payroll team. This is a permanent job, based in Swindon, Wiltshire.

The Functional Support Analyst role will be primarily working with the clients key payroll and HR systems; Oracle e-business Suite and Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition to provide expert analysis and documentation regarding control of application processes, system changes, enhancements and developments, testing for systems and handover of changes to other business delivery teams. Supporting all controlled system instances such as Production, UAT, Training and other relevant instances. The Functional Analyst is also jointly responsible with other support team members for data security and integrity and is required to be proactive in identifying opportunities to maximise benefits from applications and to make improvements across systems and processes.

The successful candidate will be a proactive and hands on individual, able to work efficiently and effectively without detailed direct supervision, and will possess excellent experience and knowledge of Oracle e-Business Suite (R12), in particular the Human Resources elements, as well as working with enterprise scale project applications. You will be able to demonstrate strong analytical and problem solving skills required to resolve incidents and impact an analysis. You will have excellent interpersonal, listening and communication skills, with the ability to communicate information effectively in different formats to different audiences. You have good team working skills and have worked in project focused environments. You will be able to plan, prioritise and deliver against service standards, deadlines and organisational requirements in a challenging and sometimes pressured environment. You must be able to pick up and develop new skills quickly, and have a flexible approach supporting multiple application functions.

Ideally you will also have skills in or some knowledge of PRINCE 2, ITIL, ISO 9001 or other similar methodologies/standards, along with an understanding of functionality of the following would also be beneficial: OLM, iRecruit, Employee/Manager Self Service, Performance Management, OBIEE and Discoverer.
