Fund Accountant FTC recruitment

My client, a leading financial services provider with an established Glasgow operation, are looking to appoint a Fund Accountant on a 12 month fixed term basis.

The successful candidate will be required to carry out the following duties:

* Producing monthly, interim and year end financial accounting statements for funds

* Clearing all allocated cash reconciliation items

* Producing revenue estimates for funds each month or quarter

* Inputting and reviewing income and expense accruals on a daily basis

* Calculating total expense ratios

* Producing and reviewing monthly yield calculations

* Liaising professionally with internal departments, trustees, custodians, auditors and Fund Management Companies

* Producing quarterly VAT returns for your allocated funds if applicable

* Producing Office of National Statistics (ONS) returns for all of your authorised funds each quarter

* Ensuring all necessary corrective and preventative actions are taken if an error occurs including timely logging on the error reporting system

* Producing and review monthly trustee packs for capital and income

Suitable candidates will have at least 1 years fund accounting experience and will have a working knowledge of FRS, IFRS and the IMA SORP.
