Fund Accountant Job in London, Ontario Canada

Allen Professional Search, London office, is currently recruiting for a Fund Accountant for one of our clients, located in the London, ON. This is a permanent opportunity.

Responsibilities:

*           Responsible for the daily fund administration and segregated portfolios, ensuring that client records and investment portfolios are accurately maintained

*           Execute and assist with transition / conversion of daily NAV process from external vendor

*           Daily cash management and monthly account reconciliations

*           Management and processing of daily client and portfolio transactions

*           Client financial administration

*           Liaise with custodians, internal departments and offices

*           Other duties as assigned; may require evening and / or weekend work

 

Requirements:

*           5 years experience in the investments industry and progress towards a designation (CGA or CMA preferred) or enrolled in the Canadian Securities Course

*           Experience with the following vendors / systems would be a strong asset: Eagle Investment Systems, MPower and SSCNet

*           Experience completing cash and asset reconciliations, and calculating end-to-end daily NAVs

*           Good basic knowledge of accounting principles and practices

*           Strong interpersonal and customer service skills

*           Excellent organizational skills, with a strong attention to detail and accuracy

*           Strong oral and written communication skills

*           Proven analysis, problem-solving and conflict resolution skills

*           Ability to multi-task while meeting time sensitive deadlines

*           Confidently works independently and in a small team environment

*           Strong knowledge of MS Office and Excel; ability to quickly learn new software systems
