Fund Accountant recruitment

A fantastic opportunity has arisen with client of ours based in the desirable offshore destination of the British Virgin Islands. Our client is a specialist provider of fund administration services and are seeking a Fund Accountant to join their team. Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining all the financial and accounting records of funds in order to calculate the fund’s NAV timely and accurately.

Calculating and preparing Net Asset Valuations timely and accurately with minimum supervision.

Setting up and maintain Fund Portfolios in the relevant portfolio software.

Maintaining Portfolios in Bloomberg and gathering information from Bloomberg in order to conduct pricing.

Maintaining and reconciling all fund bank and broker accounts.

Calculating unrealized gains, losses and accruals.

Posting all fund accounting information and activity in the relevant accounting software.

Producing FS Reports including Balance sheets, Income statements, RG report, URG reports and Performance trackers.

Posting trades, profit and loss allocations and final valuations in the relevant reporting software.

Conducting Cash Management Services for Funds

Preparing and processing wires as required for disbursing payments on behalf of funds from time to time in the absence of the relevant Investor Services Officer.

Reviewing and supervising the distribution of Investor Statements by the Investor Services Officer for the relevant fund.

Handling Investor and Investment Manager Queries.

Assisting Investor Services Officers with Audit Confirmation requests from the auditors of the relevant funds.

Liaising with Investment Managers, Auditors, Legal Advisors of the fund and investors via email and phone on matters relating to the fund.

Assisting with Annual Financial Statement Preparations

Must possess a good working knowledge of Bloomberg systems.

Requirements:

The successful candidate will ideally be a Qualified Accountant and hold a Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance.

Possess at least two years post qualification experience in an Accounting or Auditing role.

Big 4 training desirable

Fund Industry experience ideal but Not essential.

Training in Anti-Money Laundering and Due Diligence Procedures ideal but not essential.

Must possess a good understanding of Portfolio Accounting.
