Fund Accountant – Swindon based recruitment
The role is for a Fund Accountant with a good technical ability, numerical accuracy and client focus looking for career progression and enjoys working in a in a busy environment.
Responsibilities
- Produce monthly management accounts and supporting schedules for property funds, review balance sheet and PL accounts, investigate and resolve inconsistencies.
- Preparation of daily journal for pricing submission within defined timescales. Ensuring the valuation reflects the current day’s position with all relevant adjustments recorded correctly.
- Prepare unit price and income distribution schedules for unit trusts.
- Prepare annual reports and financial statements, liaising with external auditors.
- Prepare management and client reports (cash flow forecasts, regional and sector distributions, capital projects, etc.)
- Prepare loan covenant reports, arrange payments due under the credit agreement, liaise with the loan provider’s client relationship team
- Prepare annual taxation returns and quarterly VAT returns, liaising with tax specialists.
- Provide information to industry statistics (IPD), reconcile differences between IPD and internal data.
- Assist with ad-hoc tasks and projects.
Ideal Candidate:
- Ideally 1-2 years experience in preparing management and statutory accounts, analysis of financial statements, tax and external client reporting
- Strong attention to detail and good communication skills
- Ability to learn and take on new challenges and work as part of a team and to tight deadlines
Skills and Qualifications
- Excel – intermediate/advanced level
- AAT qualified intending to study CIMA/ACCA/ACA or part-qualified accountant
