Fund Accounting Supervisor(s) and Account Managers
Description:
The Fund Accounting department is tasked with completing the valuation of funds on a daily, monthly and quarterly basis and ensuring that NAV calculations are accurate. Ultimately this role will be responsible for the maintenance and servicing of company’s clients to the highest of standards.
The team is also charged with training and developing the more junior members of the team including fund accountants /administrators. It is the responsibility of the Fund Accounting Supervisor/Account Manager to check the teams work to ensure adherence with the banks regulatory procedures.
General Responsibilities:
- Day to day fund accounting duties
- Supervision/managing a team of junior fund accountants/fund administrators
- Accurate and timely production of Net Asset Valuations
- Calculating the NAV, investigating discrepancies and resolving any issues
- Ensure NAVs and dividend rates are accurately communicated to the relevant parties and within agreed timeframes
- The ability to take on and set up new funds according to industry and regulatory standards
- Payment of fund expenses
- Ensure internal controls are adhered to
Client Services/Relationship Management
- To be the primary point of call for any client issues
- Dealing with and resolving any client concerns in a timely and effective manner
- Completed client specific monthly reports
- Liaising with custodian on a day to day basis
- On-going maintenance of client relationship
Supervision:
- Ability to supervise/manage a team
- Training and developing junior members
- Performance reviews/appraisals
Qualifications:
- A relevant business related degree (preferred)
- An accounting qualification is desirable
Knowledge
- Between 5-10 years’ experience of which 3 years at supervisor/managerial level
