Fund Accounting Assistant Manager

The Role

 

•Manage daily administration of security and derivative instrument pricing and master file set-ups for agreed funds.

•Research new instrument types and appropriate valuation treatments for a variety of instruments

•Evaluate the integrity of derivative data relative to market movements.

•Test the accuracy of pricing methodologies and systems.

•Ensure the Pricing Team provide accurate and timely services to all internal and external parties.

•Monitor daily processes and controls to ensure procedures are being adhered to, including appropriate levels of supervisory oversight.

•Understand the theoretical and technical nature of all asset, expense and fund types on InvestOne.

•Review of security set-up procedures, complex securities, accounting conventions and coordinate periodic reconciliations of InvestOne security master data to Bloomberg.

•Work with line management on the rollout of services to new funds and to ensure the smooth transition of additional centralised functions to market data.

•Maximise the benefit of existing data vendor services to improve automation and efficiency.

•Attend meetings with valuations teams to discuss open issues and service levels where minutes are kept outlining decisions and action points.

 

Candidate Requirements:

•At least 3 years experience in financial services.

•Knowledge of derivatives, pricing methodologies, market data and/or valuations functions.

•Experience implementing controls and writing procedures.

•Proficiency in using Bloomberg, InvestOne, MS Excel and Word.
