Fund Accounting Manager at leading Financial Services, London recruitment

A permanent unique opportunity has opened up at a leading independent financial technology specialist which provide automates, integrated middle- and back office administration and risk reporting services to hedge funds and asset management firms-including banks, insurance companies, mutual pension funds and proprietary traders. The position is to join the Fund Accounting Client Service team and to develop and maintain important client relationships.

Example duties will be:
Act as primary point of contact for the hedge fund clients, ensuring client issues are managed and they are kept up to date with internal changes and new initiatives
Act as subject matter expert for any accounting issues clients may raise, e.g. on daily PL, to the monthly NAV, to financial statements.
Establish and drive strong relationships with clients and maintain regular client contact to ensure satisfaction levels are high
Day to date remote management of processes to ensure daily PL and accounting functions are performed accurately and within service level agreements
Review NAVs to ensure standards are adhered to
Day to day interaction with other departments and counterparts to prevent/ resolve issues
Perform regular review of all MIS to monitor breaks and perform root cause analysis
Monitor the timeliness of the NAV delivery, assist in resolving bottlenecks and look for process improvements
Drive enhancement projects for technology and operational processes.

My client is looking for a qualified accountant who has a background in product control and/or fund accounting along with experience in dealing with clients (internal or external) on a variety of accounting and operational issues. Candidates need to have a good understanding of financial markets instruments such as Fixed Income, Equity and OTC derivative products. And have strong client focus skills and commitment.
