Fund Accounting Supervisor recruitment

Our client is a leading provider of cash management, trade, securities and fund services to financial institutions, corporate and public sector clients around the world.
Our client has undertaken a significant investment in enhancing its Fund Accounting platforms. This investment is expected to improve the client experience, reduce risk and promote efficiency. The enhancement will ensure the longer term competitiveness and efficiency of the operation.

Key Responsibilities:
Client Responsibilities
•Manage the delivery of relevant information to clients and other third parties
•Resolve issues and address high level requests from clients and other third parties in conjunction with Relationship Management
Risk Management Responsibilities
•Maintain a controlled, SOC1 operating environment that complies with operational standards
•Ensure escalation of critical issues to Section Manager Head of Fund Accounting Operations
•Perform timely and regular reporting to Section Manager
•Ensure that any team-specific procedures conform and are shared with other teams
Line Management Responsibilities
•Act as technical and knowledge resource to the team/business unit
•Hold regular team meetings together with Section Manager to encourage employee feedback on all issues
•Provide employees with objectives, hold regular one on one performance feedback meetings and perform formal annual associate reviews

•Manage the performance of staff, addressing poor performance sensitively and promptly and recognizing exceptional performance using the full range of supports

•Manage staff assignments in conjunction with client deliverables.
•Employee interviews, development and evaluations.
Operational Responsibilities
•Lead projects intended to optimize operational efficiency and improve quality
•Lead projects to begin servicing new funds and convert existing funds from other administrators
Specific Functional Responsibilities
Manage Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly and other periodic activities, including:
•Accumulation and summarization of portfolio activity from the funds' investment manager, banks, custodians and underlying fund administrators.
•Recording of cash transactions and expense activity.
•Marking the value of the portfolio to market.
•Accumulation and summarization of investor activity from the funds' investor services agent.
•Calculation of fund level tax obligations. Qualifications
 •Determination of the value of the funds
•Preparation and distribution of other recurring and ad hoc monthly reports to internal and external parties.

Knowledge/Experience:
•Minimum 7 years working experience in financial services with at least 5 years in fund administration, supervising a function/team
•Proven track record and extensive knowledge of funds services and its processes
•Hands-on supervisory style with strong leadership skills

• Computer literate with knowledge of MS Office applications, in particular MS  Excel at intermediate - advanced level

Qualifications:
• Undergraduate degree in Accounting or related field
• 7 + years experience in Accounting
