FUND ADMINISTRATOR, FX SETTLEMENTS recruitment
Description:
A leading Edinburgh based Investment company is currently seeking a Fund Administrator to join their team, initially on a fixed term contract. The successful individual will assist the Assistant Manager in the delivery of Investment Administration services to assigned clients, in particular trade processing, trade and FX/MM matching and settlement, security reconciliations and standing data maintenance, all within agreed quality, timing and output targets.
Core Responsibilities:
- Ensure Deposit Confirmation and Matching process is carried out in line with Operating Procedures and published deadlines.
- Ensure Deposit Tickets are maintained filed archived in order.
- Ensure Maturing Deposits are correctly booked to internal systems and pre funded to Custodians / Prime Brokers.
- Manual instruction of Taiwanese Instructions to Custodians in line with Operating Guidelines and Procedures.
- Authorisation of Taiwanese FXs.
- Ensure log of Taiwanese pre funding trades is maintained and managed appropriately to agreed service definitions.
- Ensure FX / MM Reports are reviewed and actioned in line with Operating Procedures.
- Ensure appropriate review and authorisation of restricted currency deals and custodian executed FXs.
- Review and Appropriate Management of Exception Management Folders queue within FX
- Matching Architecture including appropriate chasing and escalation on mismatching items to agreed Custodian / Prime Broker deadlines.
- Processing of MT300 / MT304s from inbound swift messages ensuring Static Data is maintained and Straight Through Processing Rates.
- Ensure MT300 and MT304s are sent for FX instructions as appropriate.
- Investigation of non-receipts of funds on foreign exchanges from Counterparties.
- Resolution of cash differences on FX payments with Custodians/prime brokers and FX counterparties.
- Resolution of confirmation queries with Counterparties.
- Review possible interest claims with market counterparties / custodians.
- Preparation of appropriate claim / error documentation for review by Line Management
Core Requirements:
- Educated to Higher (or equivalent) level or beyond with a minimum of 2 Highers (preferably including Maths and English)
- A minimum of 1 year’s industry experience.
