Fund Distribution Manager recruitment

• Day-to-day management of the Fund Distribution Management team, ensuring workloads are evenly distributed, ensuring training needs of new and existing team members are met.

• Ensure familiarity with industry trends and regulatory changes so can keep on top of changes which may impact our fund ranges.

• Day-to-day responsibility for the relationship with the TA side of the Fund administrators that the business has and may look to have in the future.

• Actively resolve any fund investor issues or queries to the extent they relate to fund administration/TA e.g. dealing issues, performance fee equalisation.

• Look to continually improve and develop the operational structure of the fund by collaborating closely with the TAs e.g. automating fund dealing with distributors, set-up on new dealing platforms if beneficial for fund.

• Responsible for the oversight of the AUM database, and any other systems/databases that hold Fund level information

• Responsible for the relationship with 3rd party data providers

• Act as main centre to Sales, CRM/IR, Investment teams and Infrastructure for technical knowledge on Funds. Helps co-ordinate the client/sales effort with fund launches, closures and restructurings.

• Help the Head of the team manage set up of new Distribution Agreements working with Sales, Legal, CRM/IR and product development where appropriate and help to monitor the businesses legal/contractual obligation under these agreements

• Keep abreast of all requirements of undertaking fund distribution in various jurisdictions (e.g. NAV publication, tax data reporting, PFIC/K1s) by developing and maintaining relationships with internal stakeholders (product development, tax team, fund accounting, compliance and fund legal) and requirements are adhered to when they fall within the remit of fund distribution management

• Take full ownership of the monthly and quarterly rebate process by maintaining a close oversight of the Rebate Module to ensure rebates are set up correctly, managed and payed according to the terms of the agreements in place with clients working closely with the fund administrators, finance and CRM/IR.

• Work closely with CRM/IR, Finance and BBH to ensure any changes to distribution agreements and rebate agreements are captured and processed correctly.

• Engage internal teams to ensure that all standard rebate payments are completed within the contractual timeframe as agreed with the client

• Engage internal teams to implement effective processes to ensure that non- standard rebate arrangements are streamlined sufficiently for quicker payment turnaround

• Look to expand the businesses ability to take on non-standard rebates/trailer fee arrangements always keeping in mind the ability and practicalities of taking on this type of business

Experience and person skills required

• Experience of working in Asset Management in a similar type of role

• Understanding of Fund structures e.g. UCITS, SIF, Hedge Funds etc and the different legal structures eg SICAV and FCP.

Understanding of distribution business and processes around rebates/trailer fee arrangement would be an advantage

• Experience of managing a team. Able to provide feedback on a regular basis and delegate where necessary and have experience of giving appraisals of team members.

• Highly organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to apply it consistently

• Excellent communication skills at all levels and an ability to work within a close knit environment both at team and organisational level

• Ability to work on own initiative and effectively prioritise to meet tight deadlines. The candidate will need to be able to demonstrate an ability to be able to multi-task and to be able to handle the various queries from clients, administrators and colleagues.

• Strong sense of responsibility, solution orientated with good negotiation skills. Able to push through resolution of issues and escalate where necessary.

• First rate written and oral communication skills, coupled with strong interpersonal skills.
