Fund Investment Operations recruitment

We are looking for a talented, enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our small operations team supporting the fund managers, analysts and other key functions within the business. The role demands that the successful candidate must have broad operational experience and practical knowledge and will have gained exposure to a variety of asset classes built up over a number of years from working in a similar role in a Family Office, Hedge Fund or Fund/Investment Management company.

Responsibilities

• Trade input; checking, verification, confirmation and settlement (high volume)

• FX hedging  including share class hedging

• Investigate and resolve all unmatched / failed trades

• Pre and post trade compliance checks

• Documentation and account set up, including ISDA’s

• Ensure accurate portfolio positions are reflected on the accounting/trading systems

• Cash and liquidity management, reconciliation and monitoring including margin/collateral management

• Daily liaison with custodians, administrators, brokers and other third party relationships

• Updating internal pricing and valuation systems

• Assisting in reporting and ad-hoc reporting requests

• Assisting in the daily fund valuation processes including, managing the subscription/redemptions of funds and accounts

• Fund NAV checking and calculation

• Review current operational processes and make suggestions to improve overall operational efficiency

• Portfolio administration

• Ad-hoc project work

Requirements

• At least 3 years experience is similar role

• Experience of working in a trade support, middle and front office environment

• Strong product knowledge; including Equity, Fixed Income, Collectives, Hedge Funds, FX and FX Forwards, Derivatives and OTC products

• Private Equity knowledge desirable

• Strong trade life cycle management experience

• Portfolio administration desirable

• Knowledge of rebates and trail commissions desirable

• Ability to demonstrate drive, commitment and initiative

• Hands on approach and flexibility is essential

• IMC or IAQ or other related professional qualification(s)

• Good standard of education

• Strong communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to present information and ideas clearly
