Fund Launch Project Manager
Our client a leading asset management company currently seeks a Fund Launch Project Manager within Fixed Income to be based in London
The Fund Launch Project Manager will be part of the Fixed Income Division, and will be responsible for:
-Manage product development projects from approval through to launch. The successful candidate will be required to motivate a multi-disciplined team of Fixed Income (and/or external) representatives to ensure the project delivers on time and within budget
-Ability to take a hands-on role with a desire to refine the product as required to ensure successful delivery
-Ensure approval of the Fixed Income Management Board and Risk Committee
-Build successful relationships with the project delivery partners, including external legal advice, fund administrator, trustee / custodian and auditor
As such, the successful Fund Launch Project Manager will have the following skills and experience:
-Familiar with fixed income investment products e.g. bonds, real estate, structured credit, private placements and other esoteric instruments
-Knowledge of business environment, products and operational models
-Project management experience within asset management (preferably fixed income) with an understanding of different approaches
-An appreciation of the end to end processes required for a new product launch
-Exceptional communication skills - both written and verbal, with excellent active listening skills
-Strong influence and negotiating skills with an ability to manage a variety of stakeholders
-Willingness to work to tight deadlines, and manage multiple projects, taking into account evolving business priorities
-Strong analytic and proven problem solving skills with an ability to negotiate pragmatic solutions to meet conflicting business requirements
-Ability to be flexible and to manage ambiguity during project delivery
-Must be a team player and able to work with and through others
-Able to work effectively at all levels in an organisation, with strong relationship management skills
