Fund Management Business Analyst recruitment

The candidate should be able to demonstrate a thorough knowledge of the various functions and aspects of Investment Management Systems ideally a best of breed solution (Thinkfolio, Latent Zero, Charles River or Longview but will strongly consider other competitive systems) System Administration and Configuration. They will need to demonstrate in-depth knowledge of investment processes and workflows; have a solid understanding of investment instruments, and the types of tools used to support the investment and business operations functions.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Work as part of a team to deliver dedicated business support and future business initiatives within the company

• Establish, define and document both the business requirements and functional specifications to support implementation of business and technical solutions

• Create and evaluate system solution proposals

• Provide business knowledge and analytical skills to project teams in support of the system implementation or change

• Perform and schedule business testing of applications as part of the development lifecycle

• Liaise with business and IT support teams to help identify and resolve workflow and application issues

• Awareness of the complexity of projects, with their multiple stakeholders, requirements and interdependencies

Business knowledge and experience:

• experience working on system implementation supporting Fund Managers and Operations teams

• Translation of verbal and written business requirements into application functional requirements

• Good business acumen with an appreciation of a variety of instruments (Debt, CDS, IRS, TRS, Equity, FX, NDF’s etc.)

• Knowledge of the workings of an Investment Management house

• Demonstrate awareness of the complexities surrounding the provision of data

• Be able to provide tactical and strategic solutions

Management knowledge and experience:

• Influencing business and technical staff to complete project tasks on time

• Able to present solution proposals clearly and concisely
