Fund Manager – VP level GEMS/Asia recruitment
Our client is seeking a results-driven individual to work within the Research Team as an analyst of collective investments.
The Collectives Research team provides recommendations to support the centralised investment process utilised by the company's Investment Managers.
Duties of the Fund Manager include:
- GEMS/Asia specialist focusing on long only equity funds
- Must already have a good understanding of the GEMS/Asia universe of strategies in particular high conviction managers
- Manager two main Institutional multi-manager products
- Maintain active recommendations on 40-50 collectives, generating effective and timely investment recommendations
- Play an active part in the firm’s central investment process, actively contributing to the model portfolio process
- Communicate collective recommendations effectively and persuasively in both verbal and written format and inform Investment Managers of significant developments and events
- Present to the investment teams in London and other branches
Key criteria for this role include:
- Qualified or part qualified in either the SI Diploma or CFA
- Worked in financial markets, Investment Consultants or Multi Managers, preferably with an Investment management track record
- Track record of researching GEMS and Asia
- Knowledge of Hindsight, Datastream and Style Research Portfolio Analyzer
- Strong decision making skills and attention to detail
- Manages junior employees as appropriate by setting priorities and direction of work
- Flexibility to work unusual hours and ability to travel to other branches on occasions when required
- Excellent Excel skills
