Fund Monitoring – well respected Private Equity firm – London recruitment

The Opportunity

Our client is a well established buyout firm based in London. Due to further growth, the firm has a rare opportunity for a Fund Monitoring Associate to join the London office. Reporting directly into the Head of Fund Monitoring, you will be involved in analysing each investment in the portfolio, looking at the performance of each business, highlighting areas of concern, and reporting on these to the deal executives. You would also be producing valuations on the investments on a quarterly basis and modelling scenarios to show how the investment is progressing. You would also be involved in working with the invested company on the highlighted areas of concern.

Your Profile

The client is looking to meet with candidates who are currently working in the corporate finance space, who are ideally looking to move into a middle office role/fund monitoring role within a Private Equity firm. This role focuses on the refinement and analysis of the information used to support the deal-making process. It is not a role which sits on the deal-side. If however you enjoy the analysis side of the process as opposed to the deal-side, we would like to hear from you. Please note. This role IS NOT an accounting role. If you are doing accounting or audit at present, your profile WILL NOT be right for this role. The client is looking to meet with candidates who have a clear understanding of the investment process within Private Equity and also an understanding of the importance of the quality of the underlying information which underpins the deal. The client will expect you to have a strong record of academic achievement. For this role, you will need strong interpersonal skills as you will be liaising with the deal executives on a day to day basis as well as working closely with the invested company.
