Fund Operations
Responsibilities:
- Reconciling daily trade processing/settlement and position across various products and regions
- Monitoring, investigating and reconciling trade breaks
- Liaising with PBs, executing brokers, fund administrator and other counterparties on operational issues
- Tracking pending corporate actions and determining impact on portfolios, and obtaining voluntary actions from the PMs
- Monitoring stock loan rates and availability of hard to borrows
- Creating and verifying brokerage committee and other appropriate reports
- Addressing give-up issues and end of day trade allocation issues
- Working with our in-house Compliance team to provide support for reporting/disclosures
- Participating in setting up operational processes and procedures for launching new funds, trading with new counterparties, trading new markets/products, etc.
- Implementing risk mitigation and operational improvement efforts as part of firm-wide Operational Risk management efforts
Requirements:
- Experience in operations/back office
- Knowledge of life of a trade
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Some programming experience or a strong desire to learn technical skills
- Demonstrated ability to resolve issues and move projects forward
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong academic background
- Bachelor’s degree from rigorous university program
- BA/BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, or other analytical field is not required, but highly valued
