FUND REPORTING ACCOUNTANT recruitment
A highly successful Asset Management company have a new opportunity for a Fund Reporting Accountant within their Edinburgh offices. The role will be to assist the Fund Reporting team in continuing to provide a high quality reporting service to both external and internal customers. The variety of funds managed will help ensure the chosen candidates are provided with the opportunity to utilise and further develop their Fund Reporting skills within a highly regarded, award winning business.
The right candidates will have good technical ability and will be able to confidently discuss their current knowledge and work in Unit Trusts and OEICs. Strong interpersonal and self-motivational skills and a high standard of work will be required in order to effectively operate within the team, producing financial reports within agreed deadlines and complying with appropriate Regulations.
Core Responsibilities:
- Production of Unit Trust and OEIC accounts/distribution rates.
- Production of Group reporting figures.
- Preparation of VAT and tax returns.
- Play a role in project work as appropriate within the teams.
- Assist in understanding and application of new accounting regulations.
- Assist in identifying and implementing improvements to procedures within the team.
Core Skills:
- Highly numerate.
- IT skills (in particular Excel)
Core Requirements:
- Accounting Qualification not required for the role although Part Qualified/newly Qualified Accountant with relevant experience will be considered.
- Exposure to Financial Services Industry, including at least 2 years experience of preparing/reviewing Unit Trust and OEIC Fund accounts.
