Funding / Cash management Analyst recruitment

Based in London, New York and Singapore, the Global Funding team is responsible for managing the cash nostros and liquidity across this Tier 1 Investment Bank.

Funding is a critical part of the overall business model and is an excellent opportunity to learn about the core requirements of any bank and the relationship between business, operational and treasury functions

This Tier 1 Investment Bank is looking for a high quality candidate to join the Global Funding Management team in London. The role requires a strong leader with good relevant business knowledge, risk awareness and control who can manage the team to accurately execute the daily funding requirements as well as contribute to achieve team's business targets and strategic objectives.

This is a challenging role requiring the successful individual to partner, coordinate and drive progress across the regional team. In addition, strong communication skills are required as a major part of the role involves constant interaction with diverse group of operations and business teams.

Key Responsibilities:

-Day to Day management of one or more of the EMEA Funding teams. Ensuring the most efficient and controlled approach to roles and responsibilities is adhered to.
-Identify and implement change that will result in process efficiency and cost savings.
-Build and maintain strong working relationships with related Front Office, Finance and Operations areas
-Perform funding for all domestic and ICSD accounts (both Clearstream and Euroclear) within deadlines
-Investigate and validate statement and ledger opening balances
-Liaise with correspondent banks and ensuring daily funding accuracy
-Project expected funding requirements for Front Office and investigate swings and differences.
-Call funding requirements to the Front Office, and processing subsequent Borrows/Loans
-Provide reporting at a number of levels to detail daily requirements and periodic MIS
-Adhering to up to date checklists and ensuring procedures are kept in line with process and market changes
-Nostro reconciliation of funding breaks
-Identify opportunities to improve process and controls in the line
-Support business initiatives and problem solving as required
-Identify opportunities to drive reduction in overall bank funding costs through proactive delivery on role and reducing long/short balances
