Futures Clearing Manager

My client is a global provider of banking, financial, advisory, investment and funds management services and they are currently looking to hire a high calibre individual to join their Fixed Income, Currencies and Commodities Group.

The role sits within the Futures Clearing space and the successful candidate will join a team of 7, equally involved in all aspects of clearing operations and client services. The London office works closely with affiliate offices in Sydney, New York and Chicago to facilitate a 24 hour service to its global client base.

The ideal candidate will have a solid industry experience, display flexibility and be forward thinking in regards to continual process improvement.

The candidate will have extensive knowledge and understanding of EMEA Listed Derivative Exchanges, their affiliated Clearing Houses and procedures. In-depth knowledge of expiries, physical delivery and margining are essential. The middleware system used is Clearvision with bespoke back-office systems used.

The London team is responsible for the following tasks:

* Clearing, and associated tasks relating to EMEA Listed Derivative Exchanges including bespoke cleared OTC instruments such as Forward Freight Agreements.

* Client on-boarding.

* Perform account and trade maintenance on client accounts in back-office systems; Service client, proprietary and affiliate businesses with regards to trade queries, account maintenance etc.

* Resolve trade breaks.

* Maintaining software applications e.g. static data, new releases etc.

* Ensure continual monitoring of exchange feeds to middleware.

Dealing with intraday transaction reconciliations.

* Dealing with T+1 reconciliations.

* Processing of wire transfers.

* Account audit requests as required.

* Expiries and deliveries.

* Assist with projects as they arise e.g. regression testing for software app upgrades, new exchange memberships etc.

* Regulatory transaction reporting.

* Provide middle office support to execution desk.
