Position Description:
AGS on behalf of RBS represents contract and temporary opportunities for RBS MIB (Markets and International Banking). We have an outstanding contract opportunity for a Futures IT Support to make their mark with one of the world's largest international banking and financial services companies. In the role, you will play an integral role in helping our client deliver market leading services that set it apart from its competitors.
This is a Contract role to assist the Rolfe Nolan (RANsys) IT Support team with Production issues as well as RANsys 4.1 testing. Your primary focus will be to manage Production issues through analysis and communicating resolutions to various global teams within RBS. You will also be required to assist with regression and functional testing of the RANsys 4.1 software which includes the vendor's Margin Module software.
Additional Position Details:
Futures Production Operate Team function and responsibilities
- The team is responsible for supporting, maintaining and enhancing the global technology platforms underpinning the Futures business within Markets International Banking (MIB). The platforms are a mixture of in-house developed and 3rd party systems.
- The team operates a 'follow the sun' support model
- The team liaises with many different departments and regions across the 'Markets' division.
Role Specific Responsibilities
- Primarily the function of this role is to investigate, test and communicate resolutions with issues from RN / RANsys users presented to IT. These issues may arise from any RBS department although typically confined to the global Client Services or Operations user-base and includes issues escalated to IT. These issues relate to any facet of RANsys as well as feeds into and out of RANsys.
- There is also a requirement to assist with the regression and functional testing of the RANsys 4.1 software including the vendor's Margin Module software in conjunction with individuals from the IT team focussing on this '4.1 project'.
- You will be required to manage the relationships with internal teams for Production Support issues as well as be able to work with and communicate to the IT team focussing on the 4.1 project.
- You will manage your own Production Support priorities
- You should consider where other teams require ad-hoc training with the nature of issues logged and formulate and execute the best approach to achieve this.
- You will also be required to test (regression and functional) the Production and UAT version of RANsys Software in line with the project team's needs and present the results clearly
Essential Experience:
- In depth RANsys knowledge encompassing the entire RANsys spectrum
- Regression and functional testing experience
- Excellent communication skills
