KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCES TO BE GAINED:
Analyst will receive exposure to market awareness with regard to Global Foreign Exchange, focusing on the Passive Currency Overlay (PASCO) product. The product is designed for clients who need currency hedge protection for international portfolios. In addition, the analysts will gain an understanding of inter-workings of global custody and FX and the interaction the FX team have with other business units within the bank.
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
The analyst will assume a position with the Global Foreign Exchange Dealing Room PASCO team. In this capacity, the analyst will play an integral role on the Passive Currency Overlay desk. They will be required to design and automate spreadsheets for new overlay instructions, as well as assist in enhancing existing ones. They will be responsible for assisting the Pasco team to collate the data necessary to implement new hedges and checking the calculations. Their role will give them the opportunity to gain an in-depth understanding of both spot and forward foreign exchange. They will assist with the daily monitoring of client flows and furthermore, will assist with multiple ad hoc projects in order to drive the product forward.
