FX CASH MANAGER

FFTW is the global fixed income provider for BNP Paribas Investment Partners. We have an excellent career opportunity for an FX Cash Manager in our New York office. Individual will be responsible for foreign exchange spot and forward book management and will report to the Head of FX. Individual will also regularly coordinate with a Money Desk function within the firm where all investments in money market instruments and the financing of leveraged positions are managed for excess return. Candidate will work closely with the Information Technology team to develop automated tools and solutions to support the FX management function on an as-needed basis. Market instruments include FX spot and forwards and multicurrency money market instruments. As a junior member of a team of experienced investment professionals involved in the management of about $20 billion of currency overlay for global bonds as well as absolute return strategies, the position offers a long-term opportunity for the right individual to grow professionally and add significant value by identifying attractive quantitative and judgment based global macro strategies in FX.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Provide support to global Portfolio Managers, including: establishment and maintenance of currency hedges and off-benchmark exposures; monitoring cash flows and financing foreign asset purchases; monitoring portfolio performance and performing attribution analyses; other ad hoc and recurring portfolio analyses.
- Assess and reconcile results that are inconsistent with fund and /or strategy’s objectives. Serve as Portfolio Manager’s primary point of contact with investment operations, compliance, client service and business analysts.

Academic Background and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Economics coupled with excellent academic credentials.
- Excellent financial, mathematical and statistical skills and ability to work with complex databases and /or quantitative tools.
- Strong quantitative background and programming knowledge preferred.
- 1-5 years’ experience in FX transactions and cash management in a systems-oriented, multi-account setting with guideline constraints and limits is preferred.
- Advanced computer skills (Excel, VBA and MATLAB)
