FX / Currencies 2nd / 3rd Generation exotics trading

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are working a top tier investment bank who are looking to hire a trader in London as it looks to grow out it FX exotic business. The team is looking for candidates who have excellent academic backgrounds and who have already established a strong understanding trading currency exotics. Ideally, this experience will have been in the G7 currency markets at another top tier investment bank. However, the main criteria is to have an exceptionally strong technical skill set, so the client will also look at structurers / desk quants from top tier institutions. Traders should have a natural desire and appetite to generate alpha as this group take substantial, punchy positions as well as dealing with what is a very large flow business. This group is regarded as being one of the best vol teams in the street and so this role is anticipated to be hugely in demand. This is a fantastic opportunity and has a great chances for career progression.

REQUIRED:

 1-3 years trading experience in the FX exotic space 

Successful track record in working with 2nd / 3rd generation FX exotic products in the G10 Foreign Exchange markets.

Outstanding academic backgrounds, in a highly quantitative subject.

Summary:

This is a role in London at a tier one bank for a FX exotic trader. This will be to concentrate primarily on trading G7 markets and complex exotic products. The role will be split between market trading the flow for one of the biggest complex FX franchises in the market as well as taking prop positions and potentially a separate prop book.
