FX eCommerce- Sr. Support Analyst recruitment
This role focuses on providing world class service for a fully integrated end-to-end electronic single dealer platform, offering spot, forward and swap foreign exchange transacting capabilities in over 100 currencies to a global client base
The Senior Support Analyst acts as a subject matter expert for BAU and project work, with a strong emphasis on ensuring ongoing operational system availability. Having a proven Production Support background within Investment Banking, the Senior Support Analyst will be expected to drive a number of projects whilst also being involved with incident management, change, problem or release procedures.
You will have direct interaction with global business teams, third party system suppliers, infrastructure teams and other application development teams. Therefore you will be expected to demonstrate experience of working with and supporting FX trading platforms, market data and electronic trading portals / APIs eg Currenex, FXAll, 360T.
Key Roles Responsibilities
- Maintain in-depth knowledge in multiple eFX systems, ensuring production stability across applications and interfaces
- Ability to prioritize work to successfully deliver service to agreed levels in a diverse and constantly changing technical environment
- Prior exposure to Follow-the-Sun support models to deliver consistent global service
- Working to resolve problems and incidents of varying complexity to enable services to continue to run
- Track incidents and provide regular request status and progress updates to users Escalating as appropriate during outages and ensure root-cause analysis is undertaken
- Champion fault eradication that will minimize future business disruption
- Maintaining an excellent relationship with the business areas by providing expert advice and precise updates on technical issues relating to the platform or applications
- Share expertise with less experienced team members, providing updates to support guides and coaching as appropriate
- Providing ideas and feedback to the development teams to improve service operation to meet the business goals
- Adherence to Change Control and Fault Reporting Procedures
- Be able to produce high quality and concise management information for Senior Management
Candidate requirements
- At least 5 years of Production Support experience within Investment Banks
- Knowledge of FX products, order and trade flow and how these would traverse FX and MM Ecommerce platforms
- Provide customer focused application support, using business and technology knowledge effectively
- Ability to resolve problems and incidents across multiple technology areas
- Extensive platform knowledge in RedHat Linux and Solaris
- Advanced Shell Scripting
It is a 1 year Direct contract role-rolling with a high possibility of conversion, based on performance.
